Making A Good Powerpoint Presentation

How To Make A Good Powerpoint Presentation?

Power Point presentations are great tools which are generally used by business organizations to express their business approach to the prospective clients or for internal use. They are also used by educational institutions, banks and financial institutions. Making a good Power Point presentation is equivalent to winning half the battle itself.

The Power Point presentation must be effectively formulated and due care must be taken to ensure that the presentation lives up to its mark and is able to provide a solution to the business or individual needs. It must be drafted in such a way that the purpose of making it is achieved, and this has to be done effectively, of course!

There are certain tips for making a good Power Point presentation: * The 1st or 2nd slide should serve as an outline of your Power Point presentation. After this, make sure to observe the order of outline for the remaining presentation. Always remember to place the main points on the outline slide.

* Make sure that the presentation slide makes the use of 1-2 slides each minute. You must write in point form in these slides and not in complete sentences. Each slide must have a maximum of 4-5 points only. Anything more than that will result in confusion for the audience.

* Animations must be kept to the minimal, do not make use of distracting animations. Always be consistent with the type of animation you use. But remember, don't over-use animations.

* Do not use complicated words and fonts. Use simple words and common fonts such as Times New Roman and Arial. Make use of an 18-point font so that the readers can see it easily. The font size may be increased or decreased for primary and secondary points.

* Do not make use of all caps sentences, it seems like you are shouting on your audience.

* Statistical data can be expressed more effectively in the form of charts and graphs.

* The use of graphs is considered to be better than the use of words or charts. The trends are considered to be expressed in a far better way in the form of graphs. Also, make sure to title the graphs which are to be used in the presentation.

* Make sure that there are no spelling mistakes or repeated words in your presentation content. You may seek the services of a language expert in this regard.

* The concluding part of your power point presentation must be sound, strong and effective. This part is the most important one as the audience is more likely to remember the final words than the whole content of your presentation.

And above all, be confident of the approach of your presentation and make sure that your audience can relate to it. Making a good power point presentation is now an made easier for you.
